Applications

Designed for loading prilled ammonium nitrate/fuel oil (ANFO) in varying diameter drill holes, both in horizontal and vertical positions.

Purchasers of anfo loaders are supplied with a copy of the Manufacturers Data Report - Pressure Vessel at point of delivery.

Safety Notes

  • To comply with AS1210 SAA Unfired Pressure Vessels Code, the vessel must not be used for transport of material under pressure.
  • Purchasers are advised that the Anfo Loader (Pressure Vessel) manufactured under AS1200 is subject to Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations, 1995 (page 5 section 3.2.24(1)(a)). An employer must ensure that pressure equipment, other than a gas cylinder thatis covered by AS1200 SAA Boiler Code and that is in USE, is inspected or tested in accordance with AS3788.
  • Purchasers should refer to Australian Standards AS3788 - Pressure Equipment In-Service Inspection, Section 3: Inspection Personnel and Administration; Section 4: Pressure Equipment Inspection.

Use

After the loader has been filled to capacity, it is pressurised by compressed air to the pre-determined discharge pressure, thus the rate of discharge can be varied to obtain the required density and charge rate.
